Brian’s entire professional career has been focused on the financial industry. Attending college at Ohio University, Brian's studies from the beginning focused on achieving a BA in Business Administration with a core in Finance. He has always been interested in the nuances of financial planning and considers himself a quarterback, driving a team that includes clients and the firm’s staff, toward the goal of long-term financial stability for the client. Brian's focus is on creating sound strategies for every client's advance to their goals incorporating both long-term financial planning and retirement plan management.

As a quarterback and coach, Brian works to be available and accessible to clients at all times, to keep them focused on the play, to ensure everyone on the team is moving in the same direction, and to continuously revise and adjust strategy as life changes occur along the way.

Brian is an expert on employer-sponsored retirement plans. Before co-founding PK Financial Group with Pete Kaplan in 2005, he served at Merrill Lynch as Vice President of Investments, where he specialized in the 401(k)/ pension market. He trained at Merrill Lynch Headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey, in their intensive two-year financial services educational program, finishing in the top 5% of his national class. In 2003, he became an Independent Financial Advisor for SagePoint Financial Inc, and that affiliation continues today. He is also designated as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary.

Brian is married with two children and considers being a good father and husband among his greatest accomplishments. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and walking the family’s black American Cocker Spaniel. Among his own long-term goals is skydiving and traveling to Australia.
